On July 30th, our firstborn, Zealand, was diagnosed with Stage 4 Neuroblastoma. What started as a few concerning symptoms quickly became the hardest news we’ve ever received. In a matter of days, Zealand went from playing outdoors for hours on end to spending weeks confined to a hospital bed. Yet even here, Zealand’s spirit shines through with courage and resilience. 

Even in the midst of treatments, Zealand still finds ways to smile. With his little toy rifle in hand, he reminds us that this is a battle, but not one we fight alone. Psalm 93:4 says, “Mightier than the thunders of many waters, mightier than the waves of the sea, the Lord on high is mighty.” We believe God is greater than every obstacle we face, and we’re trusting Him every step of the way.
